                    Q:I am wondering if using this door in the salt air environment of living on the coast will be a potential problem down the road with rust on the door since it is made of steel. Would aluminum be a better choice? Experiences welcome.

                    A:  Hi Beachcomber, The door has what essentially is a car finish. It is galvanized, painted, and has a clear top coat. Like any product in this environment as long as you maintain the door by washing it down periodically and lubricating the moving parts (hinges, rollers, springs) you will be fine.
