Q:Anyone in here have an update as to how well these windows are in terms of heat/cold efficiency? I'm contemplating putting one of these in a basement bathroom that's against an exterior wall. I want to make sure these are well insulated to keep cold out.

A:  These glass block panels are mostly comprised of glass blocks that have an individual U-Value of 0.53, which is roughly equivalent to a double paned window.

          Q:My opening is 34 1/2 x 17 1/4 what size should I use?
          by|Apr 11, 2023
          1 Answer
          Answer This Question

A:  We recommend 1-2 inches of space around the perimeter of the glass block window to leave room for mortar. In this case, a 32.75 in. x 15.5 in. window would best your opening (see model # 3416VIC). Please give us a call if you have any questions or concerns, thank you!

Q:Due to poor packaging, when I received my windows they had come apart at some of the joints. I shouldn't have to be doing this to brand new windows. With that being said, what type of silicone do you recommend I put the back together with?

              Answer This Question

A:  Hello Josh, we apologize for the inconvenience. We would like to assure you that our windows are packaged to Home Depot standards and that a window being damaged during the shipping process is an uncommon but unfortunate possibility when shipping heavy glass. We recommend reaching out to your local Home Depot to exchange your defective window for a new one, but if you'd like to attempt to repair the silicone joints yourself then please use glass block silicone (model # R2BSILT).

Q:My screen is damaged on the vent. Are there instructions for dis-assembling / re-assembling the vent window so that I can replace the screen?
                by|Feb 13, 2023
                1 Answer
                Answer This Question

A:  A replacement screen is currently not offered for this product. To replace the mesh screen, unscrew the screen frame, remove the spline holding in the mesh screen, remove the mesh screen, cut a new mesh screen to approximate size, spline the new mesh screen, trim any excess mesh screen, re-screw the screen frame to the vent. The process is quick and easy. If you would like assistance please reach out to a local Home Depot associate. Thank You!
