    Answer This Question

A:  Chamberlain uses either a belt or chain drive. As long as the extension kit matches the drive type it will work. It added minimal complication to my installation.

Q:I have a Chamberlin chain driven door opener on a eight foot door. The door only opens to 7’8” or so. I need the door to open further to allow my tractor to fit through. What do I need to do that or is it not possible?

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes you will need an extension kit for the door to open to 8'. Make sure you get the right kit for your opener. There are two different 8' chain extension kits depending on what model opener you have.

A:  I've gained a few extra inches by releasing the door using the red pull. Maybe, if that doesn't give you enough, deflate your tractor tires.

                Answer This Question

A:  The part number you gave is for a logic board. It has nothing to do with the chain or rail. The Chamberlain extension kit is not compatible with anything that Liftmaster makes.
