A: Yes. It is easy to cut to suit your needs.
A: Yes, it's thin cheap plastic that tapes on. You could use a utility knife or good scissors. I don't recommend using on a door, because it didn't last long.
A: Definitely. It’s very thin but I’m not sure it’s so cost effective for that use. Try getting a package of report covers from an office supplies or big box store.
A: Absolutely. It has been a door saver for me - easy to cut to any size!
A: Yes, this can be easily cut with a utility knife or a box cutter knife.
A: Freezing: I read it more like she lets her dog out in the warm seasons but wants to know if it will last through the winter for next season. I don?t think she was suggesting she leaves her dog outside in 20 beliw.
A: Who leaves their pets outside when it's -20?? I don't think that much of ANYTHING would hold up in -20 temps!
A: Dont think so. Home depot has unique home designs pet grille that screws into the screen door to protect the screen from being ripped.
A: That's where I put mine, however I couldn't get it to be flat against it.
A: I think this will depend on the type of screen door you have. It could possibly work on a screen door with a wooden frame. Not sure it would work on a metal framed door.
A: It should, so long as you have a solid surface on the door for it to adhere to. It comes rolled up, and you simply unfurl it and use the adhesive strips to attach it
A: Not really. It’s meant for solid doors as it has 3M tape that you put on the corners to hold it to the door. But, if you took thin pieces of wood strips, screwed those onto the sides of your screen door-then attach the shield to the wood, it might work.
A: As long as you have enough flat surface around the door frame to attach the Door Shield, it will work. It attaches using VHB tape squares and needs a clean, smooth surface.
A: Probably not if you have a dog that scratches at the door. I used them for interior doors only.
A: No
A: I would think so as long as you adhere to the frame of the screen door
A: No, I think you would need something stronger. The shield is too thin and flexible.
A: Clear Plastic
A: It is not glass, it is clear, can be cut and attached to door, my friend Steve used a power drill to put nails in. It worked very well, easy to clean. What material it is I don't know. Look at it online, that info should be there.
A: Plastic
A: It is made of plastic.
A: The Door Shield is made of Polyethylene, the same plastic material that soft drink bottles are made of.
A: You can use this shield on glass. Reviewers note that it functions well to protect doors and windows but the surface of the plastic shows scratches.
A: Hi Grandma, I used the shield on door, it has worked very well. I don't know if it would work well on glass. Depending on the size of your pet, would it be safe??
A: I used it on a french front door. It is very difficult to attach to any surface. Would be rather unsightly if attached to a clear window or clear glass door I do have plans to nail or staple it to the frame.of the panes. If you use double-stick tape , it will last for a couple of weeks. But then you would have to clean the plastic instead of cleaning glass.
A: Yes, our door has glass in it. We stuck it to the trim of the door and it covered the glass as well. It stops our dog from scratching up the trim. Be prepared however to use silicone like we did, or another source of adhesive after a few months to hold it on. The adhesive gives out on the provided tape and you have to use something else. It does the job but doesn't look real pretty when covered in muddy paw prints. Be ready to wipe it off regularly to keep the exterior of your door looking neat and clean. We have ours on the outside of the door as our dog only scratches to come in, he barks to go out!! Only draw back is keeping it attached to the doors surface, you do have to find alternate sources after the original adhesive gives out.
A: I have it on a steel storm door and it works great.
A: Yes, you can cut the Door Shield to the size needed using household scissors.
A: Yes it can be cut to fit any size door.
A: Yes. I use a sharp utility knife to cut to fit.
A: Yes very easy to cut
A: Yes! We had a Yorkie who would scratch at the same spot of each door so we literally cut out a 1 ft x 2 ft rectangle to apply to each exterior door and it was hardly seen and worked perfectly!!
A: I could, it comes with double sided sticky tape which I would imagine if you try to remove would remove the paint.
A: I have not removed the shield. It works very well, protects my door from Maggie May, she is little but mighty. I don't see why it would remove the paint, it is against the door, my friend used the screws that were supplied, did not glue it or use anything the would attach it to the paint. I do know that if it was not there the paint would be ruined and the door also.
A: Sadly it does;(
A: Yes, the adhesive removed the paint when it was removed.
A: Yes, the adhesive pulled the paint off the door when I removed it (after it failed to deter my anxious dog)
