You will then need to miter in the cap-a-tread being installed on the step and the side bull nose piece to a 45-degree angle. They can be installed on waterfall edge stairs with no extended bull nose. You will need to install with the Zamma risers to assist in supporting the bull nose. Best of luck with your stair project.

This cap-a-tread is designed to coordinate with 4 different floorings sold only at Home Depot called: Vesinet/Ella Bay Oak/Boulder Pass Hickory/Luxurious Pine Wood. If you are trying to coordinate with another floor you may want to order a reversible riser to compare against your flooring at home. Best of luck with your selection.

A:  Thomas, Thank you for your question. Zamma Cap-A-Treads are not designed to interlock with the flooring, you will need to install a transition piece between the cap-a-tread and the flooring. You may cut the bull nose off the cap-a-tread to a minimum of 4" so that it may be used as a stair nose. Your other option is to use a coordinating stair nose instead of the cap-a-tread. A:  Danny, Very good question. You will either use a coordinating stair nose at the edge of the flooring at the top of the stairs as well as the landing. Your other option is to purchase additional CapKits, cut the bull nose off to a minimum of 4", then install a transition piece between the bull nose and the flooring.
