Q:on the pergo highland hickory stair tread accessory, does the back end of the tread have the grooves for continuing the rest of the floor?

A:  Hello and Thank You for your interest in our product. Since the flooring is designed to be floating so it can expand and contract and the Cap A Tread is designed to be glued to stairs, no we intnentionally do not manufacture Cap A Tread with locking joints at one end as that would lock the floor into place causing it to buckle.
