A: directions indicate a single pole live volt thermostat will work, however the honeywell I purchased did not, will return and try another

A: Thank you for your question. The SoftHeat 83 inch 1500 watt 240 volt heater is compatible with a single pole thermostat as long as the thermostat is rated for 240 volts.

Q:Is "right hand wiring" looking at the unit from the front or back?

A: It can be installed at either side.

A: Right hand wiring refers to looking at the front of the heater with the back of the heater against the wall. When you are looking at the front of the heater, the wires will be on your right side.
