A:  Thank you for your interest in Builders Edge. All of our shutters with the exception of the color code 030 Paintable have a UV protectant in them making that not paintable shutters. The paint will start flaking/peeling within a couple days/weeks and won't adhere to the shutter.

A:  I do not know if you can purchase directly from the manufacturer. But why would you need to when you can get GREAT service from Home Depot and either pick up in the store or have it shipped directly to your home. Also, you will need to probably get a drill bit for wood or masonry material for your installation. You can purchase that when you go to pick up the shutters.

A:  Yes but you must check the paint manufacturers label to make sure you can use over plastic types of material. I forget which paint I used but it was not for plastic and it peeled right off. Had to buy new shutters. Good luck

A:  It will depend on how many pairs of shutters you need installed, the surface that they will be installed on (i.e., brick surface will take longer per window than wood) and if the windows are in the first floor or will extra equipment be needed to install them in second floor windows.
