A:  Thank you for your interest in Builders Edge. Our paintable shutters are manufactured from a polystyrene copolymer one piece injection molded. Painting Instructions: Paint varies from brand to brand. For best results, we recommend a high quality 100% acrylic paint. The paint must not contain vinyl acetates or vinyl chloride. If painting with satin or gloss, a quality primer is recommended. Follow all paint label instructions for cleaning, preparation and application.
