A:  Bro it’s a fan… it costs about 5 cents per day to run a fan for 24 hours straight I don’t think they make “energy star” fans lol

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi ARN110LKVV, Thank you for your question on the ARN110LKVV model. This model would require a two function wall switch. One switch for the lights, one switch for the fan. The white light and SurfaceShield mode are on one switch, and the fan wiring would be on the second switch. If you have further questions, please contact Technical Support directly at 888-336-6135.

Q:Can you disable the purple light so that every time you flip the switch it?s always white?

          Answer This Question

A:  Not to my knowledge. I have not disassembled the light to attempt such a change. I installed two of these in my new house. One switch to control the fan, one switch to control the light. Flip the light on first, its white, flip again promptly and its the UV light. If you dont want the UV light, I suggest purchasing a lower cost unit that does not have the UV feature, rather than trying to disable it. Maybe I'm not understanding your intent. I don't understand why this would be considered or necessary.

A:  That is all the lighting I have in my separate bathroom off the shower area. I assume you are planning for a separate exhaust fan for the shower area.

A:  Hi Art129, Thank you for your question on the AERN80LK ventilation fan and light. This model offers a 3500K LED light. This is more of a natural white light. Whether or not this light would be enough for your room is subjective and would be something you would need to determine based on your application and room lay out.

Q:I bought this fan last year. I just noticed that it does not move any steam out of the room at all. This is a very very small bathroom, this fan should be far over rated for this room. How can I fix this?

A:  Hi Seabass, Thank you for your question on model AERN80LK. We are sorry to hear you are having an issue. You may want to be sure the damper on the unit is opening and closing freely. If the issue is not with the damper, You would need to look at the duct work. Please call our Technical Support Team directly at 888-336-6151 for additional troubleshooting assistance.

A:  Do a flow test. With door open hold a square of toilet paper to fan and see if it pulls in, close the door and do test again. If it does not stick, the bathroom door does not have enough of an under cut. If air can’t enter the bathroom steam can’t exit.

A:  The fan will move a lot of air.  If it is not, the likely cause is a restricted outlet or collapsed vent ducting.  To troubleshoot, turn on the fan and using a small strip of paper held up to the vent cover, see if the fan is pulling a draft (the thin strip will suck up toward the fan).  You can check this with the bathroom door open and closed.  Sometimes the inlet air is constrained by the closed door; cracking the door open might help.  If that does not help, then the air outlet may be restricted.  Could be the back flow flapper valve is stuck closed, or the exterior exhaust outlet is restricted, or the ducting from the blower to the outside has a restriction.
