      Q:Can the lights be turned on without sliding out the range hood?

      A:  Thank you for your question on the model 153004 Slide Out Range Hood. The light can be turned on without the fan being turned on. The hood is "OFF" when the drawer is pushed completely in. The light will turn "ON" when the drawer is pulled and out approximately 1/2 inch. The blower will turn "ON" when the drawer is pulled out approximately 1-1/2 inches.

        A:  You can operate the light without the fan by pulling out the hood about an inch. It does hum a little without the fan sound to drown it out; I don’t know if that is a problem with the hood, the installation or the bulb, which I had to purchase separately. Check ahead of time so you don’t hold up your installation.

            A:  The 15000-Series 30" hood use a foam filter. You can purchase replacement parts directly from Broan-NuTone. The part number for the filter is S99010175. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-888-336-3948 for assistance.

                A:  The 153004 can be installed a maximum of 24". We know that some installations may vary slightly. For the best results in capturing cooking impurities, 24".                       A:  No, it doesn't come with a bulb. If I remember correctly, the bulb was an additional $15 to $20 and I purchased it at Home Depot. My only regret is that I didn't check to see if the the bulbs came in different shades of light - the one I bought is a little blue for my taste.
