A: Should be okay. Heaters are resistive load (within the 8A rating), while tungsten lighting (incandescent) draws more current initially, hence 300W limit for that kind of device.

A: Depends on the current draw of the TV. It worked with the hot plate but it did get hot. You could try it out and return it if the time got too warm for your comfort. That is what we did.

A: This will cut power to any device that is plugged in. As long as the device doesn't do itself damage when the power is cut, it will work fine.

A: We returned ours due to it getting to hot using it with a hot plate, but pertty sure it did have a 3 prong and it did receive a 3 prong.
