A: I used it on a plaster wall in a old house and it worked good. I'm not sure about a textured wall.

A: Greetings Lizy,
This is a great question!
This liner paper is great for covering texture and wall imperfections before installing another wallcovering. Sharp points or particularly raised areas may benefit from sanding prior to installing the liner.
Happy decorating!

Answer This Question
A: You apply this with regular paste, and once it dries, (the directions say 2 days, but it probably does not take that long) you can go ahead and put up your wallpaper with whatever paste you would usually use.. NOTE: run the liner paper horizontally, so that you dn;t end up with seams on top of one another.
Good luck.

Q:Why does the Home Depot spec say each roll is 28.53 feet long, when the label on the roll I just received says it is 8.61 yds long which is less than 27 feet? I ordered based on the Home Depot specifications and now I am short and I will have to delay my project while I wait for another roll to be delivered, not to mention the added $$.

A: Yes- this is designed to be used to prepare a surface for wallpaper. It makes the walls smoother, covering minor cracks (you shoudl stil spackle, etc, before applying the liner paper). Once you have applied the liner paper, let it dry for a couple fo days and then put up your wallpaper the way you usually would.

A: Yes, if you apply this wallpaper and then unapply it you would be able to thus apply more wallpaper.

A: Yes, that's what it's made for. This is an underlayment which allows the paper to have a smoother finish. This product is recommended for high end papers and should be hung horizontally.
