A: I don't have any granite to practice on. For what it's worth, I have drilled dozens of holes into sandstone and a couple into cement with no significant wear and tear.

A: I’ve drilled holes in extra strength concrete that had exceptional large rock in it the bit did good I’ve also drilled holes in dolomite rock and it did good and the bit still looks good But this concrete and dolomite rock is still not as hard as granite So I think it should but I’m not sure

A: The HC5091 SDS-max Drill bit is designed for drilling into concrete. Our full carbide, HCFC5054, may work better; however, this is just 10" diameter. For drilling into granite bolder a diamond bit (not offered) may best suit your application. For further assistance, contact us at 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from Mon-Fri 7A-7P CST.
