A:  The foundation below it yes but it is automatically level and requires a level surface to work on and just lays on the ground up against the studs on the side

A:  I had the same issue. I placed a cloth over the flange and straightened it with channel locks. I lost a little enamel in the process however, most of the flange is hidden and I touched up with appliance enamel touch-up and was happy with the results. I did not want a plastic base.

A:  return it for A good one. I had to return 3 parts before I got one ok.
