A:  I knew the black strip was to use if I wanted to be able to easily lift the planter, like lifting a basket by a handle. I discarded it, because I was putting both planters on an outside step.

A:  We used it as an insert in a decorative wire window box.

A:  I don't have mine on a sill but on a cart to grow greens over winter. There doesn't seem to be any places to anchor on the box itself.
