Q:I understand that additional knockouts exist under the sink's edge for the drillout of additional holes. I hear that only the mfg. should do this though there are knockouts. I was told for a fee it can be and should be part of the order so the mfg. can drill it out. How do I place the order and specify an additional hole and its location? I was told the additional fee was around $15.

                        Answer This Question

A:  I called the manufacturer and found that there are two options. 1. Order the sink from a vendor that can order the sink with the hole in it. Home Depot is k=not one of those vendors. On the Blancoamerica.com web site there's a pull down menu with vendors in your area. 2. There are knockouts on the sink and you can do the make the additional hole yourself. Here are the instructions but note that if the sink cracks as a result of your effort the warranty becomes invalid.

A:  It may be possible to drill more holes, but it should not be necessary. There are plenty of hole knock outs available.

A:  There are more holes that have been pre-drilled; and you just have to knock them out per the instructions. We were able to do this with no problem. I think this is noted in the details someone online but don't recall if it shows the placement.

A:  There are other knockouts already in the sink depending on how many you need. You can see those on the underside of the sink. The single whole is already knocked out.

Q:Existing sink has disposal on left. We have a stainless steel pull out storage rack already installed on the right side of the under-sink cabinet, which would have to be switched using this sink with the disposal bowl on the right. This issue is not insurmountable, but would leave screw holes if we had to move it to the left side. ???
