Q:Purchased black out shades but still have the 1/2 “ gape on each side. How do I deal with this?

A:  Hello: Thank you for your question. When ordering a shade for an inside mount application, there will be gaps on the sides. The only way to eliminate the gap would be to remeasure and order for an outside mount application.

    A:  Hello: Thank you for your question. The Cordless Cellular shades have a spring loaded motor located inside the top rail which operates the shade. We do suggest to operate this product daily to keep the motor working properly.

      A:  Hello: Thank you for your question. Should you order 70", you would only have 1/8" room of play and if your window is not completely square, the shade may rub the encasement. We would suggest to go slightly smaller. Any time an inside mount is done, there will be small light gaps on the sides of the blinds/shades.

            A:  Hello Suzanne, Unfortunately the 17", showing an actual width of 16 1/2", is the minimum width for this product. It can not be cut down any more and still function.

                    A:  Hello: Thank you for your question. If your inside encasement measures 21.5" in width, please order that size. The shade will need to be slightly narrower so it does not hit the sides of the encasement and cause damage to the shade.
