                    A:  I ordered my shade width identical to the opening and it fit well. They subtracted about a 1/2 inch from each side. The bracket took up 3.8 inch on each side. FYI- there is about a 1 inch gap on the top if you top mount the shades; not bad, but not ideal.

                    A:  It should be 1/2" . But for some reason they keep on cutting it wrong. My window is 58" so I ordered 57.5". But I got 55". They are taking off 2 inches even though the product overview said that for a 57x72 blind, the actual width would be 57". I had no luck with it in the store either. I hope someone is able to use theirs for an inside mount. Maybe beter luck if you talk to a person as there's no comment field in the order sheet.

                      A:  Hello: Thank you for your question.The distance of the bracket will depend on how you are mounting the blind. The furthest the bracket may protrude out is 1/4". When doing an inside mount, please order the actual window opening size as the blind will be 1/2" less than your ordered width.
