A:  Hello: Thank you for your question. Although the instructions we have are showing only side and ceiling mount, these blinds may be wall/back mounted. Measure the blind from tip to tip. The brackets should be mounted no more than the measured distance and no less than the the measured distance minus 1/4". Place the holes (pictured for ceiling mount) back against your flat surface.

If installed as an inside mount, there will be a light gap on the sides of the shade. For the best blackout performance, install the shade as an outside mount and order the shade at a width that will provide a 3" overlap on each side. This will prevent any light gap on the sides of the shade.

In the description for this particular shade it is showing a window width of 48" with a shade actual width of 47 1/2". This is already taking into account the brackets for an inside mount.
