A:  Not likely unless you apply something to the edges to hold it against the wall

    by|Nov 28, 2018

A:  Size might be an issue unless you have an unusually smaller than standard size window to mount on the outside of the window. Also it might allow light in along the edge. Better to trim it down in that case and mount it inside the window framing. Flush. That gives the best overall blockage of light.

A:  Whenever I have that issue, I hold them at the very top on both sides and do a quick snap to build tension in the mechanism.

A:  Take the shade down, roll it up all the way tightly and carefully. Hang it back up. If that doesn’t work your shade Spring is probably broken.

Q:The height of my window is only 30 inches. Even if I pull the shade down fully, there is be access of 48 inches length. Does the top part look very bulky? Is it better to get a custom roller shade with the correct length (which is more expensive). Asthetically on the top part of the roller shade, it is make much difference?

A:  Hello: Thank you for your question. The remainder of the material will be on the tube at the top. Unfortunately for this product we do not have specifics as to the roll up diameter size. To obtain a shade at your specific height, we would suggest to contact Home Depot to discuss special ordering a Bali Roller shade.

A:  I am not sure I am clear about your question, but the tube is cut together with the shade. They are cut the same size at the same time. The end piece (that goes into the receiving end on the wall) is inserted afterwards.

A:  The window shade meant to fit close to the window, whether mounted inside the window frame or on top of it. The blinds or curtains are decorative and can be on the top or outside of the shade.

A:  Probably, if the sides of your window frame are wide enough to accommodate the width for both mini-blind and roller shade at the top. Measure with the roller shade fully rolled for its fullest thickness. These shades let a lot of light in on the sides, though.

Q:I am looking for roller shades for my screened outdoor gazebo. It is shaded by trees so it doesn't receive heavy sun. I need them primarily to help shelter the gazebo from the winter winds, dust etc. If I mounted these properly under the eves and secured the bottoms would this work for that application? 12mm certainly sounds strong enough.
