A:  Hello, Thank you for your question and interest in this product. Yes, you can purchase the outside mount brackets instead of the inside mount brackets for the shade to mount directly on your trim.

As long as your local store has the machine available to offer the cut down service they would be happy to provide that service to you at no charge. If they do not have the machine they may be able to advise you on the nearest location that does.

        A:  Hello, Thank you for your question and interest in this product. Unfortunately I do not show this product can be cut down to the 9" width. I have reviewed the minimum widths for all of the in stock product and there are none that would allow such a narrow width. I have located a Corded Cellular Shade that can be cut down to that width on our Bali Essentials special order program. Please speak with your local Home Depot associate to order.

            Q:Is the width for the vinyl shade itself, or does the width include the rod that holds the vinyl shade?

            A:  Hello: Thank you for your question. For the Stock Vinyl Roller shades, the cut width will be 1 1/4" less than your ordered width. For example: If you order 42" in width, the finished blind size will be 40 3/4" for an inside mount application.
