        Answer This Question

A:  Yes, you can use abrasive beads. They should be 80 grit or finer. Abrasive beads work best as they are better sorted and flow through the hose & nozzle better. Only problem is the beads are expensive and unless you have a very small project, you will go through a lot of them, and spend a lot of money on beads. I have been using fine sand as a much cheaper blast medium. I buy the cheapest playground sand at HD, then use a sieve to sort out the larger grains. The resulting sand occasionally plugs up the hose, but with a little jostling it flows Ok. It takes extra effort to sift the sand, but it works well and gives a clean bare metal result for a lot less money, especially on larger projects.

A:  I think mine came with 5 different nozzles, not sure of sizes but I think they were sized from 3/32" to either 5/16" or 1/4". They accomplished the job I bought this blaster for. Semper Fi Red
