    A:  these clamps are 4-1/4" along each leg - see photo. it can open to a maximum of 1", but it takes a lot of effort - see photo

      Q:Im not a handyman I have no idea what the 1 inch measures. I am looking for small clamps. 1/2 inches across at the tip. Maybe two inches max from the tip to the grip where you open it. What are these? I use them to close chip bags, and other things like that.

        A:  Where is the answer to this question, as I would like to know also. Will it clamp over the edge of a table that is 2.5 thick? Would the 3 inch one work too?

          A:  Maximum is 5" for about the first 1" or so. then it tapers to less.
