Q:Does bessey have rubber handles for these clamps. The wood handles are too slippery and you cannot grip when tightening.

A: Hey Mike, these are my favorite clamps. Bessey does now make these Tradesman clamps with rubber grips instead of the ol' standby wood handles. Not a "grip" that you add on, just a different clamp. I prefer the wood handles. Usually they are plenty grippy for me. Sometimes my hands are wet or I just put on lotion or something, but when I need more grip I put on grippy gloves, the cloth kind with the thick blue latex palm. Or it could be you're looking for a clamp with a sliding crossbar (like a vise) that you can really torque down on. Bessey makes those too. Hope this helps!

A: 39 1/2" I bought 4 of these yesterday to clamp some stuff 39 3/4" and they don't open wide enough. They are being returned today. They should be called 39" clamps in my opinion.
