Q:Can you thin for spray painting? If so, what kind of thinner?

A:  Hi Randy, thanks for the question. You can thin the Ultra Exterior Paint with up to 8 ounces of water per gallon. Also, we recommend using an airless sprayer with a .015" - .019" sized tip. Have a great day! -Ronald

      A:  Hi Jennifer, thanks for the question. Our Ultra Pure White comes pre-mixed and can be used to mix lighter colors.           Q:Do I need primer before I apply this paint? If I am going to paint over a white wall that is relatively unmarked is one coat enough?

          A:  Hi JHTurano, thanks for your question. A separate primer is not required with our Ultra Scuff Defense, as this paint is self-priming. The first coat of this product will act as a primer and additional coats will provide full coverage. You might need more than one coat, but I can recommend applying the paint in columns and reloading your 3/8in nap roller after each column to help you get the best coverage. If you like, you can use the Ultra Satin Enamel on your ceiling, I did want to point out that typically flat paints are used on the ceiling because a higher sheen can make imperfections in the surface more noticeable.
