A:  Hi Byanka, Semi Gloss is higher in sheen, or shinier, than eggshell. Typically, as you move higher in sheen, the paint film becomes more resistant to dirt and moisture. The lower sheens such as flat and eggshell help to minimize surface imperfections. This is why you see higher sheens, such as semi-gloss, used in kitchens, bathrooms and on cabinets. Eggshell is typically chosen for walls in rooms with moderate traffic or use, such as bedrooms. Many customers do not like the look of shiny walls, so we recommend Premium Plus Ultra Paint and Primer in One. Ultra is more dirt and moisture resistant, therefore better suited for all areas of the home than typical paint.
