Q:Two years ago I painted my deck/patio with Behr Porch & Patio Floor Paint. It was previously painted with Behr Concrete Stain. Over the past two years I have developed scratches, exposing the previous paint, when moving my deck chairs. I plan to spot prime the scratched areas. What primer do you recommend?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Jerry. You can use BEHR PREMIUM Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer #880 if the furniture has scratched down to the bare concrete. Otherwise just scuff sand with sandpaper to achieve a rough surface should be sufficient. You can paint over the concrete stain as long as the coating is sound and not peeling. Thank you and good luck with your project!
