Q:Do you need to use a primer before applying to masonry or is it enough to power wash first?

A:  Hi Diane, thank you for your question. The Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint is self-priming. However, if after cleaning the surface remains chalky, then we recommend priming with the Multi-Surface Primer and Sealer No. 436. You'll also want to prime patched areas.       A:  Hi Shannon - Thanks for reaching out. As it turns out, our Masonry, Stucco & Brick paint is not fire-proof and we don't recommend using it on a fire pit. We do not have any other products that can be used on a fire pit, so it's best to ask your local hardware store for other options. Enjoy the rest of your day! -Christina
