A:  Hi Louie, thank you for your question. Typically, kitchen cabinets are painted with a satin or semi-gloss finish. The glossier the finish, the more it will enhance the stain resistance, scrubability, and washability, which especially great for high traffic areas like kitchens. Have a great day! -Lina

      A:  Hi Tony, thanks for the question. Our Premium Plus Interior Eggshell Enamel can be applied over both oil and latex/water-based paint. If the surface is glossy, it should be scuff-sanded and cleaned before painting. Have a great day! -Ronald
