A:  Hello, thank you for your question. Our Premium Plus is self-priming and doesn't need a separate primer, unless you're painting over stains you want to cover or an oil-based coating. If so, you can use the Kitchen, Bath and Trim Primer and Sealer No. 75. Otherwise, ensure that the surface is sound, clean, dry, and scuff sanded to promote adhesion if the finish is glossy. While that is not part of our Behr color collection, our Premium Plus Paint is universally tintable and can be colored or custom-matched to other manufacturers' colors.
