Q:Wood trim in my house has oil base semi gloss paint.I need to repaint but would like to use acrylic semi-gloss enamel. Can I?

A:  Hi Luann thanks for the question, You can repaint over the oil-based paint with an acrylic semi-gloss enamel. I'd recommend using one of our paint & primer in one products, such as our Premium Plus Paint & Primer Semi-Gloss Enamel. You would need to scuff-sand the existing coating to ensure the adhesion of the paint. Have a great day! -Ronald

          Q:I've painted a first coat of Ultra Pure White Hi Gloss Enamel on a bookshelf 2 days ago. For the second coat should I wait a few more days for the first coat to fully harden and scuff sand, or just apply the second coat now?

            A:  Hi keeb, thank you for your question. Our Hi-Gloss Paint can be used on cabinets. To avoid the doors sticking, be sure to allow plenty of dry time before using. Keep in mind that using darker color and higher humidity will prolong the dry time. Have a great day! -Giovanna

                A:  Hi Bill, thank you for your question. Our Premium Plus Hi-Gloss Paint can be used for your painted interior trim. However, it's always best to use the same paint when doing touch-ups. With that in mind, to ensure uniformity, I recommend coating the surface corner to corner. I also recommend scuff sanding your glossy coating before painting. Have a great day! -Lina

                    A:  Hi there, thanks for the question. You can use our Premium Plus High-Gloss Paint on a ceiling. It would give your ceiling a glossy finish. Since the paint doesn't have a built-in primer, I'd recommend priming the ceiling first with our Kitchen, Bath & Trim Primer. Have a great day! -Ronald

                      A:  Hi Leka, Thanks for the question. I wouldn't recommend using our Premium Plus Paint for blacking our windows. It isn't recommended for smooth surfaces such as glass and could be difficult to remove once you no longer need the windows blacked out.
