    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Greg, thank you for your question. As it turns out, the Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint is not designed for wood surfaces or applied to areas below grade or in direct contact with dirt or soil. This can cause the coating to break down and result in performance issues. Have a great day! - Randy

Q:I have an old house that has what I believe are concrete stucco walls that were whitewashed 30 to 40 years ago. Do I need any specific preparation before using the Elastomeric paint for Masonry, Stucco & Brick paint?

              Answer This Question

A:  Hi Frank, thank you for your question. To prepare your surface for our Elastomeric Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint, I recommend making sure that the surface is clean and in good sound condition. If you have any cracks wider than 1/16" (1.5 mm), that will need to be repaired before priming the uncoated, patched, or chalky areas. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions. -Lina

Q:I’m not looking for a long explanation as I am old. I just want a clear answer. My house is vinyl siding with what appears to be a cinderblock base/foundation. I want to repaint the cinderblock. Will this work or do I need another ‘type’ of paint?

                Answer This Question

A:  Hi TracyC, thank you for your question. Our Elastomeric Masonry, Stucco, & Brick Paint can be applied over cinderblock that does not have vinyl siding applied over it. However, if you're trying to paint vinyl that has been installed over cinderblock, we do not recommend using our Elastomeric Paint as it's not recommended for vinyl surfaces. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions. -Lina

                  Answer This Question

A:  Hi Lucy, thanks for the question. Our Elastomeric Paint isn't recommeded to be used on the interior of the home. If this is an outdoor fireplace, you can apply the Elastomeric Paint to the exterior brick as long as the surface temperature doesn't exceed 140 degrees. Temperatures higher than that can cause the paint to fail prematurely. Have a great day! -Ronald

Q:I see in the Question and Answers a past question regarding application with a sprayer (HVLP). Most sprayers require dilution of the product. Can this product be diluted for spray on application and still hold up to the warranty? What is recommended?

A:  Hi Oscada, thank you for your question. We do not recommend thinning the Elastomeric Paint. It can be sprayed with an airless sprayer at package consistency using a .025-.029" tip at a minimum of 2,500 PSI. Have a great day! -Giovanna
