Yes, our Marquee Paint is an excellent choice for your cabinets as it provides a durable and protective finish that is especially great for high-traffic areas like kitchens. I'd like to mention that this paint is guaranteed to cover in one coat when tinted to a One-Coat Color and applied over a previously coated surface. Since Jade (HDC-AC-05L) is not a One-Coat Color, it may be best to use our Kitchen, Bath & Trim Primer (No. 75) before painting to minimize the number of coats needed.                 Q:Can I use this as a primer to seal sticky paint off the kitchen wall? The kitchen wall was cleaned with 409 but it became stick afterwards. I tried to wash it with soap and water to clean any grease off and there is no more grease but just sticky paint.

                  Q:I am trying to repaint kitchen walls. The old semi-gloss-like paint is sticky (might have been from my spraying 409 and letting it sit too long). Can I just use this primer to seal it off or do I need to sand off that sticky paint?

                  A:  Hi helen, thank you for your question. The kitchen walls should be cleaned before priming or painting. We do not recommend coating over the sticky surface. Any glossy surfaces should also be scuff sanded to promote adhesion. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna
