    A:  Hi Truphone, thank you for your question. Our Roof Paint is a stand-alone coating. We recommend using on clean and sound surfaces. We recommend priming all metal, asphalt, and wood surfaces with our Multi-Surface Primer and Sealer No. 436.       A:  Hi Chip, thank you for your question. We do not recommend topcoating the Roof Paint with a glossy finish. However, if the topcoat you want to use is suitable for roofs and it can be used over a water-based coating, then you should be able to use it. Have a great day! -Giovanna
