A:  Hi Truphone, thank you for your question. Our Roof Paint is a stand-alone coating. We recommend using on clean and sound surfaces. We recommend priming all metal, asphalt, and wood surfaces with our Multi-Surface Primer and Sealer No. 436.     A:  Hi Chip, thank you for your question. We do not recommend topcoating the Roof Paint with a glossy finish. However, if the topcoat you want to use is suitable for roofs and it can be used over a water-based coating, then you should be able to use it. Have a great day! -Giovanna

                A:  Hi Mfbb, thank you for your question. Our Multi-Surface Roof Paint can be used on metal surfaces. It's resistant to typical high roof temperatures, which is especially helpful for metal. To prepare your surface, we recommend cleaning the metal and making sure it's in good sound condition. Then, prime the awning with our Multi-Surface Primer (No. 436) before painting. The paint is a stand-alone product that will not require a sealer. Have a great day! -Lina
