Answer This Question
A: Hi Chip, thank you for your question. We do not recommend topcoating the Roof Paint with a glossy finish. However, if the topcoat you want to use is suitable for roofs and it can be used over a water-based coating, then you should be able to use it. Have a great day! -Giovanna

Q:I would like to paint my standing seam metal awning. It’s in a great shape. It’s not rusty, I just want to change the color. Is this an appropriate paint for that? If so, what prep work is recommended? Do I primer and seal?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Mfbb, thank you for your question. Our Multi-Surface Roof Paint can be used on metal surfaces. It's resistant to typical high roof temperatures, which is especially helpful for metal. To prepare your surface, we recommend cleaning the metal and making sure it's in good sound condition. Then, prime the awning with our Multi-Surface Primer (No. 436) before painting. The paint is a stand-alone product that will not require a sealer. Have a great day! -Lina
