Answer This Question

A:  No, paint tem will reduce the sound defusers effectiveness.

A:  Thank you for your question. Painting StudioFoam Metro panels will both harm the fire rating and effectiveness of the foam. Acoustic foam is an open cell design, so painting it will block the cell and greatly reduce performance.

    Q:What's the STC?
    by|Mar 20, 2023
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  We have never done STC testing on diffusors, it isn’t commonly done as most diffusors are mid to high frequency devices (1kHz to 8kHz) and STC focuses on mid to low frequencies (125Hz to 4kHz).

          Answer This Question

A:  It's next to impossible to cut and get clean lines, the best way to cut the material is with an electric carver. You can purchase TTPRO from Home Depot to adhere the material to the wall. Instructions will be in the box, or you can visit auralex.com.

                Answer This Question

A:  Yes they can but it will be extremely difficult to get it to look good due to the non uniform profile. The fabric must be acoustically transparent such as the acoustical panel fabrics from Guilford of Maine (Spinel, Anchorage etc.)
