Q:How do I install this rod onto the supports if I don't have 8 ft. of clearance on to the side of my window to slide the rod over the support post? I am trying to install this over a slider door located in a "nook" like space tucked between two walls. When I try to put the support posts onto the rod first, as some reviewers mentioned, when I screw it into the support bracket on the wall, it counter-actively unscrews the bolt attached to the rod. I'm in a vicious cycle and it's impossible to cut the rod smaller and have it still be wide enough for my window.

A:  Sorry for the delay. The rod installs front load for this very reason.
