    Answer This Question

A:  I am wondering if the machine was set up with a single wheel drive. If so check the operation manual under Pin lock. It will show you how to set up the machine to have both wheels drive.

Q:HD is now selling model # 920021 serial # 079345. What model is this or did I copy #'s incorrectly?

      Answer This Question

A:  Model 920021 is still the compact 24 but they did replace the 13 x 4 tires with 15 x 5 tires to improve traction. They also replaced the Briggs & Stratton engine with the Ariens AX engine. Otherwise it is the same as last years 920014 model.

      by|Sep 14, 2014

A:  You are correct on the new model number there was a change to the compact 24 last season. There may still be some 920014 units available in store. When ordering online you will want to order a 920021. I am not sure of the serial number as it is specific to only one machine. To find the information on the 920021 type that in under the search menu on the website and the snow blower will come up on the screen.

        Q:Is this blower a 0 degree turn.

        Answer This Question

A:  This snow blower does not have the new auto turn feature like the deluxe series, but does offer the pin lock steering system. By removing the pin on either tire and reinstalling it into the shaft it allows easy turning.

        by|May 3, 2023

A:  Not sure exactly what you mean by 0 degree turn but I can get this to pivot sort of like you would pivot a lawnmower. Takes a little more umph to do it because this is a lot heavier than a lawn mower and you also need to turn the chute. You can operate this with one hand so I've mastered the pivot turn and rotate the chute in one relatively easy maneuver but it will take some practice.

A:  No one has tried to pull this up stairs. This unit does weight 187 lbs and the housing on the front may make it hard to move.

A:  I came home after 6 one evening and found my brand new 24" compact Arien delivered from HD parked on my back porch; 3 steps up from the ground! No big deal. I got my 2 2x8 wood ramps and just pulled it down. I'll never put it back there again, though.

A:  Maybe check in the summer, what I do is use or sign up for the home depot card, intrest free for 18 months. Pay like $100 a month and you own it!

            by|May 3, 2023

A:  I searched for about a year and a half and NEVER saw this item on sale anywhere! I even tried to find it in Tax Free New Hampshire, because I was unwilling to pay a cent more than necessary and had been so frustrated in finding it on sale. Guess what, the few places that sold it were not worth the gas to travel to. I wont tell you how I finally got it at a discount, but it took some doing and a mistake or two on the part of a local hardware store. So the answer is a loud big definite NO!

A:  Not that I'm aware of. Mine was the last snow blower at the Northville, MI location & it was marked full price. This winter they flew off the shelves, so most nearby stores have been sold out for quite some time now & when there's that kind of demand you won't see sales on them. Good luck!

A:  The large blades that draw the snow into the blower does move slow to give the 2nd stage fan enough time to blow it out of the unit. If the snow is not being thrown very far or not like it did new, the attachment belt may need to be adjusted. This is found in the owners manual in the Service and Adjustment Section under Attachment Brake/Clutch Adjustment.
