A:  This 2-gal. bucket is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and is so marked on the bottom. HDPE is a material that can be manufactured be food grade standards. Food grade buckets are generally marked as such with symbols such as FDA and others. The manufacturer generally has to pay a fee to a listing agency to have his/her product listed for food grade. This bucket has no such markings. In the absence of such food grade symbols you will have to assume full responsibility for using it as a food grade container.
