A:  Yes you could spray paint this but be sure to use paint specified for use on plastic.

A:  Since this product flexes & stretches, we do not recommend painting... that would be your call.

A:  Because this flexes, I would be concerned that it would crack if moved after being painted. If you paint it after it's fully installed with a paint developed for plastic surfaces, it might work.

A:  it's heavy grade plastic, so any kind of paint that would work on plastic. Over time it might chip based on things like being bumped by a mower but then you could just touch up.

A:  I am not sure which Brown Flex Elbow you are referring to? Model #'s are always helpful in making sure that questions are answered as accurately as we can. If you have a 2" x 3" downspout, you will want to place the elbow on the OUTSIDE of the gutter. You don't want to place it on the inside, as heavy water, would cause it to push out. It is more secure on the outside.

A:  Yes, it fits over...not a tight fit. Make sure it's at a good "down" angle so it won't slip off before you lay it along the ground...maybe water resistant tape if you need it???

A:  The upper (larger) end is sized to fit over the spout that is typically used to fit into a downspout. The lower (smaller) end will fit into the enlarged end of a downspout. The flex elbow can be uswd at rhe bottom of a down spout as well to adspt it to a carry away pipe, etc.

A:  This Flex-Elbow is made of plastic and will probably not hold a crimp. We suggest using a caulk or other sealant to help the Flex-Elbow fit your downspout.

A:  Thanks for your question. The model # for the brown Flex-Elbow is 3708419. You may have to special order it from your local Home Depot if they don't carry it in the store. Also, it only comes in 2" X 3".

A:  Yes, but the fit will not be as tight as a metal-to-metal connection. I recommend using a drill and a small self-tapping screw to secure the elbow to the metal downspout.
