A:  Unfortunately, we would not recommend painting the glass shade with the Gloss Enamel. Not that it won't adhere well, but it does not contain high-heat resin, so it might bubble or discolor from the heat of the bulb. A:  Yes, the Gloss Enamel should work fine for that application. It may take 2 or 3 coats to get the coverage you want over a ceramic coating. Once painted, you can let it air cure for 14-21 days and your spoon rest can be hand-washed or dishwasher safe. Or, you can let it air cure for 4 days and bake it for 30 min to achieve the same result. A:  The Gloss Enamel White will dry somewhat opaque, so it will allow light in but cannot see through the paint. If you're looking for an "etched" glass look, I would encourage you to look at our DecoArt Easy Etch product on HD.com.
