A:  bee, The Reliant trim kit is compatible with the American Standard R120 Series valve so it could not be used on the same valve that you currently own. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

    Q:We have a Reliant Shower/Tub unit in a new home we purchased. We had to change the cartridges as they had cracked when the pipes froze. Problem is we can get Hot only or cold only depending on which way up we flip the valves. We can not get both. Any idea

    A:  You would also need to replace the pressure balance unit. It's located behind the cartridge. according to the product mentioned you would be needing part M952100-0070A.

        A:  The shower arm is not movable, the shower head itself does have a pivot ball that allows it slightly change the direction of the water.

            A:  if the screws that hold on the escutcheon plate are at 10 and 2, then this is an older style faucet and the new trim will not fit

                Q:This unit is installed and I now realize that the hot water is accessed by turning the handle CCW and the cold is CW!  Can I change this without ripping the wall open and re-doing the pipes?

                A:  You can rotate the cartridge around , this should fix the direction of your handle.
