Q:I am replacing both cartridges in my Portsmouth Suite. Are both installed the same way? Also,how do you remove each handle to get to The cartridge? I can’t visualize just unscrewing them.

A:  Gramps Len, It will depend upon which Portsmouth faucet you have, but on the 4" center set faucet, the base of the handle unthreads which will allow the handle to be removed. The cartridges are interchangeable between hot and cold but the handle direction may need to be adjusted. The cartridge will include information on how to change, as well as your faucet installation instructions. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

    Q:I bought a new Portsmouth cross handle 4 inch Model 7420-221, and a part broke off:  the gray plastic bushing that holds the cross handle onto the skirt. We need one, but we cannot find it on the diagram and do not know how to order a new one.
