Q:Are there videos, or manuals on how exactly to install your urinals? I mean step-by-step, and with important shots/photos of the backside showing the waste line connections. Can't find anywhere, not even on the American Standard YouTube channel.

    A:  The flush valve must be purchased separately. Either the American Standard Selectronic® #6063.101.002 DC Power (Top Spud) or American Standard #6045.101.002 manual valve can be used.

      Q:Can the flush valve for this urinal which is now a 1.0 GPF be changed to a valve with a 0.5 GFP?

      A:  This urinal is rated from .7 gallons per flush to 1.0 gallons per flush. Although the urinal may function at .5 gpf, performance could be marginal.

          A:  No, by code you need 1-1/4" water line behind the wall that drops down to 1" at the angle stop of the flush valve.

                Q:I have a customer with this urinal in their commercial building and they complain that the fixture constantly overflows. We have adjusted and then replaced the flush handle. What could be the problem?

                A:  There are a number of reasons for this condition. The two most common are the flow rate of the flush valve and the possibility of an obstruction in the trapway of the urinal.

                  Q:I have a commercial customer who has this urinal in their bldg. The drain is so small that after a while, maybe through scale build up, the urinal doesn't drain well and over flows. Is there another urinal with a larger drain opening that can mount with the same hanger set up as this one or what other options are there. Thanks

                  A:  In most cases, urinal drains are only approximately 3/4" in diameter. All other urinals available that could be considered for use in place of this one will be of the washout or siphon jet type.
