Q:It seems like a lot of people have had an issue with the top lid cracking.  We have had this problem with 5218210 toilet seat.  The cracks (2) start on the outside of the cut outs that make space for the hinges.  Right in the outside corners on both sides

A:  Marque, If you are by any chance sitting on the lid of the seat it may crack. The seat is not designed to be sat upon.       A:  No, this seat will not fit. This was a specific seat for a specific toilet. Others will fit but the shape won't be right. I only know of one place that may have them. There is a gentlemen named Alan (the toilet seat guy) that will try to help you. His number is 914-963-1901.

                Q:I have an AS Boulevard #2891.200.020. Seat is #5218.110.20. The soft close function stopped working. 1) Is there some way to repair it?  2) If not, the seat model has been discontinued. Is there a replacement?  Will 5218.210.020 fit?

                A:  The slow close action of the hinge can last up to 30,000 to 50,000 repetitions if properly cleaned and maintained. However, if particles accumulate within the hinge, it can prevent the slow close action from working. If this occurs, we suggest soaking the hinges in soapy water for about 20 mins. This should break down any particles and allow the hinge to work properly again.
