Q:Our dual flush toilet was ok when it was first installed, but recently the flushing power has gotten very sluggish, often not all the water leaves the bowl. The waste pipe is not clogged and water level looks like it's properly adjusted. Please advise.

A:  I would first suggest checking your roofing vents. If something has blocked it the air will be displaced and the toilet will not flush properly. Make sure that all of the rim holes have water coming out of them and that your water level in the tank is 1/2" below the overflow.

Q:My H2Option dual flush toilet will activate on its own, due to water seeping through the flush valve.  On a regular toilet, I would look at the flapper valve or the overflow, but I don't know how to fix this on the flush column.  Please advise. Thank you!

      Answer This Question

A:  On the H20 option flush valve you need to put your left hand on the top portion of the flush vavle and your right hand on the bottom portion and twist. There will be a point where it will line up and pull apart. At that point you can change the seal.

Q:I bought several of the H2Option Dual Flush 1.0/1.6 gpf toilets. Love them. However, a couple of them you really have to hold the button down significantly longer than the others to get it to flush properly. Is there something I can adjust?

Q:We have the h20 option dual flush right height toilet. The water in the toilet bowl is way too low and we have tried to adjust it with no success. How do we adjust the height of the water in the bowl

              Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your questions about your toilet. The test for the acceptable water level in the bowl is to fill the bowl slowly from a 3-gallon bucket. Once the bowl seems to reach the same water level, regardless of how much water is put into it, then it is at the normal level for that bowl. In order to increase the amount of water in the bowl you want to : 1. Make sure that the supply line is fully open. 2. Make sure that the refill hose is in the refill tube. 3. Raise the Fluidmaster float cup by screwing it up about a 1/2" at a time. 4. Flush the toilet and see if the water level rises in the bowl. You may want to take a grease pencil and mark where the original water line was before adjustments were made. 5. If you need to, raise the level of the Fluidmaster again. You can safely raise it to 1/2" from the top of the refill tube. 6. If you still do not have enough water in the bowl, you can pull off the refill hose from the Fluidmaster Water Control, remove the red flow restrictor, and replace the refill hose. This will cause water to fill faster into the bowl, before the tank fills up. If you still have problems, you need to call one of our representatives to further diagnose the problem. Q:Can you please tell me what the EverClean® Surface is made of? I have family members with chemical sensitivities. Thank you.

                Answer This Question

A:  The Everclean glaze on the toilet works in two ways. First, the glaze (glass) composition contains a high percentage of zinc oxide, which has natural antimicrobial properties. Second, the surface of the glaze is much smoother than regular glaze, which lessens adhesion of dirt. The glaze does not contain silver nanoparticles or organic pesticides. Note: NONE of our Everclean surfaces contain Silver whatsoever The antimicrobial additive is processed into the seat material, and will not wear off over time. The EverClean surface does not protect against disease causing bacteria
