Q:Very confusing and time consuming web site, repeated scrolling to find actual height. Is there a brand that has 17" height?

      Answer This Question

A:  Kerry, The info and guides section has a link to the product specification sheet which will show you all the available dimensions. This bowl is 16.5" tall as measured from the finished floor to the top of the rim of the bowl not counting the seat. American Standard does not offer any toilets with a greater height as beyond 16.5" the bowl could fall outside of ADA guidelines which is a maximum height of 19" which includes a seat. Most seats add approximately 2" to the overall height of the bowl. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

Q:What is the difference, other than price, between this Model # 270AA101.020 @ $239.85 and Model # 270AA101S.020 @ $229.00? What does the S in the second model number signify? There is no apparent difference when doing a side-by-side web comparison.

A:  The only difference is that the 270aa101s.020 includes a toilet seat.

A:  I had the very same question, so I phoned American Standard's customer service department today, before making the Home Depot purchase. The man at American Standard said that the one and only difference between the two models (besides the price) is that the more expensive one (with the "S" in the model number, with the S standing for seat) is supposed to include a slow-closing seat while the other toilet does not include a seat. Now I need to figure out whom to call at Home Depot to inform them that their details are wrong and to make sure a seat is definitely included in the more expensive package.

A:  I don't have the slightest idea! But I'll bet someone at Home Depot can help you.

              by|Jun 7, 2021

A:  I believe the difference to be that it has a Powerwash rim and the other one does not.

A:  Having only tried the model I bought, which is the higher priced model, I can only give you my experience with these toilets. I bought three of them for all my bathrooms as I was tired of the standard height toilets I had previously. I am tall and standard height toilets always made me feel like I was sitting too low. These A.S. Powerwash toilets are wonderful. I have had no problems with them, but be warned, they are pretty big and made solid like a tank. I love them and am glad I purchased them. Hope this helps.

A:  I believe so, I didn't install it, but as far as I know it did, but it did not come with a toilet lid. I ordered a white on and it came with a lid. Also, the bone color was way more expensive!

A:  No. It should sit about 1 " from the wall for a 12" setback.

A:  As long as you have a true 12" rough in the tank will sit approximately 1 to 1.25" away from the wall.
