Q:Hi, I have an old Standard model 4043, I think it's called Compton. I need to replace the entire flush valve with the gasket. None of the "universal" kits fit this toilet. Which flush valve model and gasket should I use? Thank you

Answer This Question

A:  puzzled135, Because of the age of the toilet we no longer carry parts for it. However, if you contact either www.lockeplumbing.com or plumbingsupply.com as they carry our older parts and should be able to help you. The flush valve part number is #047088-0700. Q:My existing toilet has a rough of 11.7" (distance from the center of the bolt to the end of the base is 5.7" and the distance from the end of the base to the wall is 6"). Is this 10" rough model the best fit or should I go with a 12" rough model?

      Answer This Question

A:  cithea, Good Morning! As a general rule there is some variance in the toilet of around an inch so you should be able to use the 12" rough in. I would recommend dry roughing it in just to be sure that it will fit properly. If you use a 10" rough in it will work but the tank will be far away from the wall.
