A:  William, the dimension at the bathing well or sump of the tub is 48" by 18". If you scroll down to the info and guides section of the website you can find the link to the product specification sheet that will show you all the available dimensions.     A:  The Colony tub model 1748 is not a heater compatible tub.

        A:  Yes. I believe Home Depot sells it (with the left drain) or used to, and cheaper. However, my wife complains that the water jets are not very strong. One of them stopped working. The repairer (it was under warranty) found a piece of PCP clogging the jet (it was put there due to negligence during the manufacturing process. And the front panel does not stick and falls down. Otherwise, it is OK.

          A:  The Colony line of tubs are not available with the Everclean technology and unfortunately American Standard does not produce a 66" alcove tub with the Everclean technology.

            A:  No, this product does not come with evergreen whirlpool technology,and there are no products available in the 66 inch range which have that technology.

              A:  No, that is simply a design pattern on the apron.

                A:  It could be, however I don't use it to get in. I put my bath pillow here. The tub is a comfortable design and shape.
